Where Should I Save My Notes?

All meeting notes should be logged as Activities on the related record — usually a:

  • Opportunity

  • Contact

  • Account

  • Lead

You’ll use the Log a Call function to save them.

How to Save Meeting Notes

  1. Open the relevant record (e.g. the Opportunity or Account)

  2. Click Log a Call

  3. In the Comments/Description, paste or type your notes

    • Include key topics discussed

    • Document pain points, timelines, objections, and next steps

    • Optionally include attendees

  4. Click Save

The note will now appear in the Activity Timeline, visible to your team and searchable later.

Example
Comments:

  • Pain Point: Disconnected tools, no reporting

  • Interested in Sales Hub and automation modules

  • Timeline: Wants to go live before EOFY

  • Next Step: Demo booked for 23 May

  • Attendees: Alice (Sales Director), Jordan (Ops)

Want a Better Way?

Want to separate call notes from meeting notes to improve user experience and reportability?
Check out the Innovation Lab module:

Accelify: Meeting Minutes

This module enables a purpose-built experience for meeting documentation:

  • Capture rich-text Meeting Minutes within a dedicated meeting/event component

  • No more notes saved as misleading “Calls”

  • More space to capture proper agendas, decisions, and outcomes

  • A separate workflow from phone call logging for clarity and structure

  • Supports better filtering and reporting across meeting types

This is ideal for client-facing teams, renewals, strategic accounts, and executive alignment.

Use the Meeting Minutes module for structured engagements, and reserve quick Call Logs for informal chats or phone check-ins.
