Opportunity - Where is the Product & Price Book Managed?

Where Are Products and Price Books Managed?
Products and Price Books are not managed directly from the Opportunity by default.
Instead, they are centrally controlled within the Admin Hub to ensure pricing accuracy and governance.
If you need to view, update, or create Products or Price Books, you'll need:
Permission Set:Accelify Products and Pricebooks Permission Set
This permission gives you access to the objects and fields needed to configure pricing correctly.
What Can Be Done from the Opportunity?
If a Price Book has already been assigned:
You can select from pre-approved Products linked to that Price Book
Add Products via the Products related list
Adjust Quantity and apply discounts
Why Is This Locked Down?
To maintain consistency across pricing
To prevent unauthorised discounts or product creation
To support forecast accuracy and reporting alignment
To ensure approved product bundles, tiers, or services are used correctly
Need to Request Access or Changes to Master Product/Price Book?
If you need to:
Add or edit a Product
Update Product core price
Discuss with your Manager or Internal Sales Admin to either get additional access or for them to make the change.
