System Requirements

  • A Gmail or Google Workspace account

  • Google Chrome

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Install the Chrome Extension

  1. Visit the Salesforce Extension on Chrome Web Store.

  2. Click Add to Chrome.

  3. Pin the extension to your browser bar for easy access.

Step 2: Connect Your Salesforce Account

  1. Open Gmail in your browser.

  2. You’ll see the Salesforce sidebar on the right.

  3. Click Log In to Salesforce.

  4. Sign in using your Salesforce credentials and approve the connection.

Once connected, Salesforce will auto-detect the sender or recipients and surface matched records in the sidebar.

Log an Email

Open the email → In the sidebar, click Log Email or let it auto-log

Create a New Lead

Click + New Lead → Fill in details → Save

The plugin shows matching Leads, Contacts, and Opportunities automatically

Troubleshooting

Issue

Solution

Sidebar not appearing

Make sure the extension is installed and Gmail is refreshed

Plugin not recognising recipients

Check if the email exists as a Lead or Contact in Salesforce

Not logging emails

Ensure “Log Email” is toggled on in the sidebar

You see “Authentication Required”

Click the gear icon ⚙ in the sidebar and reauthorise your Salesforce login
